Wedding Hair and Beauty

On your wedding day all eyes will be upon you so you want to look your best. From putting on the ring, kissing your husband and dancing, your hair, makeup and manicure will be under scrutiny. To ensure that your makeup both looks good and lasts, use a professional make up artist and have a trial run a few months before your wedding day. Your skin is the basis for your wedding day makeup as this is where it all begins. Make sure you drink plenty of water, use lots of moisturiser and stay out of the sun in the weeks leading up the wedding.

Don’t cut corners on your perfect day. If you think about it, your hair and make up and manicure are the most important accessories. The pictures from your wedding day last forever.

CHOOSE YOUR STYLIST CAREFULLY

Choose your hair stylist as carefully as you would a husband. Seek out stylists that are well versed in bridal and event styling. Hair styling for weddings is a specialised area so preferably look for someone who is recommended. This is one time when you don’t want a Bad Hair Day!

Book a trial run as soon as you know the date of the wedding. You may need to grow your hair longer for your desired style and may need another trial run nearer to the big day.

Decide upon the look you want for your nails, perhaps just having a French manicure or having acrylic nails. If it’s the latter practice getting dressed and putting on make up well in advance.

Me? I’ve already booked Andy’s hair appointments for him and much to the amusement of my colleagues I’m sitting at my office desk two months before the wedding with a hair piece, tiara and full blown make up!
